Word, Excel & PowerPoint - free for Web

I guess, Microsoft finally came to it's senses, by offering Word, Excel & Power Point, free for web, if you are competing with Google, who already is offering free Office Applications, through Google Docs.

Anyone with a Windows Live account can create, modify or share Word, Excel and Power Point documents for free. You do not need Microsoft software installed on your machines. All you need is a Internet access.

God Mode

I can't believe Microsoft has hidden this functionality from the users...It's called the "God Mode", in Windows 7.

CNET revealed this trick last week.

Intended for developers as a shortcut to various internal settings, such features have been around since Vista and even before, according to the head of Microsoft's Windows division, who tells CNET that the so-called GodMode settings folder uncovered by bloggers is just one of many undocumented developer features included in Windows.

Although its name suggests perhaps even grander capabilities, Windows enthusiasts are excited over the discovery of a hidden "GodMode" feature that lets users access all of the operating system's control panels from within a single folder.

By creating a new folder in Windows 7 and renaming it with a certain text string at the end, users are able to have a single place to do everything from changing the look of the mouse pointer to making a new hard-drive partition.

The trick is also said to work in Windows Vista, although some are warning that although it works fine in 32-bit versions of Vista, it can cause 64-bit versions of that operating system to crash.

To enter "GodMode," one need only create a new folder and then rename the folder to the following:

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Once that is done, the folder's icon will change to resemble a control panel and will contain dozens of control options. I'm not sure it's my idea of playing God, but it is a handy way to get to all kinds of controls.

Have fun Guys !!!

Google - Wave

Again, an another cool stuff from Google, and yes, it's taking every one by wave. It is called Wave, a new online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more. If you already thought about this, too bad that you didn't patent it...LOL.

What is a wave?

A wave is equal parts conversation and document. People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.
A wave is shared. Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when.

A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time.
